§ 54-158. Same—Testing

  • Customers feeling aggrieved by the consumption or readings of any water meter may request the city for the meter to be reread. If the customer is still aggrieved after the reread of the meter, then the customer may request that the water meter be tested for accuracy. If the water meter is tested for accuracy and is found to be accurate in accordance to industry standards, then the customer shall be charged a testing fee as follows:

    ¾-inch tap $20.00
    1-inch tap $30.00
    1½-inch tap $50.00
    2-inch tap $60.00
    Larger than 2-inch tap Actual cost,
    including labor
